ABOUT the association of serviced apartment providers (ASAP)
ASAP is the not-for-profit trade body currently representing serviced apartment operator and agent member companies in 19 countries, who collectively operate over 100,000 apartments and offer 3 million bed nights per year.
We want our industry to feature in every decision around travel, anywhere in the world.
We want anyone booking business travel, leisure trips or household relocations to think first of serviced apartments, because they know they can find a certain level of accommodation, of customer service, of comfort, of privacy, of value for money; and to be confident in that choice in terms of safety and standards. We aim to define the term ‘serviced apartment’, to embed it in the traveller’s psyche, and to promote a standard of accommodation they can expect to find every time.
To that end, the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) as a not-for-profit trade body, offers membership and different levels of accreditation to owners, operators and agents of serviced apartments to ensure the customer’s confidence is well-founded. With our members collectively operating over 100,000 apartments in 19 countries, and offering 3 million bed nights per year, our health and safety benchmarks and quality standards result in a global Quality Accreditation programme which celebrates individuality and choice, but forms a common platform of compliance and due diligence standards.
We aim to influence and generate collaboration among members around developing the sector, and to share best practice. We aim to promote debate at a high level through events, member discussion groups and forums, to help develop the professionalism and credibility of our industry as it matures as well as playing a leading part in influencing appropriate government legislation along with embracing the challenges and opportunities the shared economy brings to the world of hospitality.
The ASAP Annual Convention is the flagship event for the Serviced Apartment industry and following on from the successes over the past 8 years it is now held over two days, offering unrivalled opportunities to be inspired by the best speakers around, hear valuable insights from, and interact with, the industry’s most experienced professionals, take part in educational seminars and network with operators, agents, investors and suppliers.
ASAP are also the pioneers of the first global awards programme for the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.
The ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards programme recognises the excellence, innovation and best practice at individual, team and company level throughout the sector and brings together ASAP members, the wider industry, operators, agents and suppliers to celebrate and recognise the sector’s achievements over the past 12 months. It culminates with the presentation of the accolades at the ASAP Gala Dinner which follows the ASAP Convention.
