“Embracing the Future”

As the largest gathering of serviced apartment professionals in Europe, the ASAP Convention is the flagship event for the serviced apartment sector.

Now in its ninth year, the 2018 ASAP Convention will be held over two days, offering additional opportunities for delegates to participate in workshop and seminar breakout sessions, hear from more keynote speakers, engage within live Q&A panels as well as hear industry updates and future forecasts.  There will be over 10 hours of networking opportunities with drinks receptions being held on both days with the whole event being rounded off with a celebration of excellence with the Gala Dinner featuring the presentation of the 2018 ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards.

Embracing the Future:  Like most other industries, the hospitality industry is a fast-paced and ever-changing world. And the serviced apartment sector itself is about to meet some major headwinds. How will Brexit effect our business and the industry? How do we raise awareness of our product and reach a wider audience by embracing social media marketing? How can technology help our business meet the ever-growing needs of the consumer? Do OTAs have a future place within the sector? What are other companies doing that we can learn from? How do we attract and retain top talent? What of the rise in vacation rental, and the ever-growing sharing economy sector? How do we stay compliant of GDPR, health and safety or planning enforcement? Throughout the two days we will aim to identify these and many other challenges, and discuss how we can embrace them, to take our businesses into the future.

The 2018 ASAP Convention will review the current industry status, changes we have seen over the past year and what the future has in store, with key industry data and insights.  A key focus at the 2018 event will be on people – as technology becomes more automated, and blockchain moves into our sector, we seek to keep both consumers and colleagues at the focus of everything. We will look at employee retention, engagement and motivation and how we can ensure that we are getting the best from our teams to ensure we are offering the guest an ultimate and memorable experience. And how we can reach even more consumers and keep our sector relevant and proactive, as we embrace new emerging markets and an ever-changing flow of travellers?

With an increased level of interaction with other attendees via the brand new event app, live Q&A interactive panel sessions, additional seminars, breakouts and workshops, grand panels and keynote speakers, the 2018 event offers a unique and unrivalled opportunity to be inspired by the best speakers around, hear valuable insights from, and interact with, the industry’s most experienced professionals, take part in educational seminars and network with operators, agents, investors and suppliers in the exhibition.
